Is Your Chesapeake Bay Retriever Teething?

Once your Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy reaches the four or five month mark, it will start growing permanent teeth. This stage is often referred to as "teething." Unfortunately, this period in your puppy's growth and development can be very uncomfortable. Luckily, there are things you can do to help appease your dog.
Check for signs of teething.
First things first, confirm your Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy's situation. Watch out for certain signs like swollen or bleeding gums, missing teeth, or teeth marks on your furniture. If your dog displays any of these signs, chances are your puppy has begun teething. Unfortunately, teething can prove to be an uncomfortable and painful experience
