In Chinese, Tibetan Mastiff is called 藏獒 (Zang'Ao), means big ferocious dog. It is a very expensive dog that can sell for millions of yuan. Just like all other mastiffs the Tibetan Mastiff also was created from the Mollosian dogs which were found in Tibet. The Mastiff dogs were a result of the mixing of the dogs of Alexander with the local dogs. Alexander took these dogs to Europe. In the 1800 century the Tibetan Mastiff was introduced to Queen Victoria as a gift.
