Love of basset hounds sparks award winning writing career


Sacramento CA (PRWEB) April 29, 2004 Sue Owens Wright, author of Howling Bloody Murder, which introduced Cruiser, the curious basset hound, has won the Maxwell Award in the Dog Writers' Association of America's 2003 writing competition.
Wright's feature article "Waddling in Dwight," about the Illinois Basset Waddle that appeared in the summer 2003 issue (#80) of Mystery Scene magazine, won in the Magazine Feature in General Interest Magazine category. It marked Wright's second nomination for the DWAA award in three years.
